
Chisom A’Marie
Vice President
of the New Voices Fund
Chisom A’Marie is a Vice President of the New Voices Fund. She has over ten years of experience in the sustainability space ranging from research, advisory, and finance. At New Voices, Chisom’s main responsibilities are in origination, due diligence, financial modeling, transaction execution, and monitoring.

Prior to New Voices, Chisom was a Senior Associate at Citigroup in their Power and Renewables investment banking group. At Citigroup, Chisom gained experience M&A, shareholder activism, and equity and debt financings. She primarily covered renewable energy companies and startups at the intersection of technology and electricity.

Prior to Citigroup, Chisom gained business development experience in Guatemala, at a startup, Kingo Energy, helping to run the fundraising process for two rounds of financings. The company became one of the first startups in Central America to raise over $20M by Series B. She conducted data analytics on raw data from the field to help drive operational decisions in terms of which markets to enter and pricing strategy. Chisom also measured the King’s environmental and social impact in line with the Impact Reporting & Investing Standards (IRIS). Prior to Kingo, Chisom was a Project Engineer / Sustainability Consultant at Environmental Resources Management (E.R.M.) where she helped Fortune 100 companies adhere to the Clean Air Act through regulatory compliance. She also advised on corporate strategy and measured progress on greenhouse gas mitigation strategies through company-wide carbon footprinting, for example.

Chisom started her career as a researcher at the University of Delaware, where she obtained her Master of Chemical Engineering and conducted research on a novel organic photovoltaic.
Chisom also holds an MBA from Yale and a dual BS in Chemical Engineering and Engineering & Public Policy (EPP) from Carnegie Mellon University.
