Monica S. Rex is a values-driven leader who is passionate about building workplaces of excellence where people thrive, driving outsized business results.
​
She was at McKinsey & Company for 5 years, in the Denver and Washington, DC offices, most recently as an Engagement Manager. At McKinsey, she led teams and advised Fortune 500 executives on strategy (including M&A), operations, and people & organizational performance across many industries, including Healthcare and Travel. As a Business Analyst, she co-founded the Christians @ McKinsey group, which now has 1,000+ colleagues.

In between stints at McKinsey, Monica joined the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Geneva, founding a team to accelerate high-priority initiatives, which now has 40+ alumni and team members from MBB backgrounds.
​
She is passionate about the intersection of faith and work, helping plan the 2021 Believers in Business Conference and serving as a 2x panelist for the Harvard graduate course “The Spiritual Lives of Leaders.”
​
Monica earned her MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and received a BS with honors in biomedical engineering and Spanish from Johns Hopkins University.

Monica is close with her family, and she lives in Washington, DC with her fraternal twin sister; their personal journey with her sister’s rare neurodegenerative condition, Friedreich’s Ataxia, has been shared on outlets like ABC and Fox News.

In her free time, Monica loves spending time outside (hiking, cycling, skiing), hosting friends, and traveling.
